I was bitten by the Instagram bug a little over a year ago. Since then I have discovered a whole new world of amazing nail artists, Indie polish makers and fabulous Nail Mail buddies.  I have been inspired by so many, and I have this simple little app to thank.  It really is amazing, and addicting!!

Yesterday I received a fabulous package from my California nail mail bestie, Shelby... You can follow her here on Instagram.  She shares my love for nail polish (and big, fluffy kitties).  Here is the loot I received
She seriously spoils me rotten with every box she sends. It's amazing!! With all of these new little pretties staring at me I needed to try some out.  I decided to go with the Domestic Goddess by Sephora by OPI and Shambolic by Butter London.

I figured the glitter would be on the sheer side (as glitters usually are) so I used the Sephora color as "undies." It worked perfectly!!
I love this glitter!  It was a little sheer and it was good to have the purple base.  The colors in the glitter are amazing However, the weather here is terrible so it was hard to get a really good photo of the glitteriness... Is that even a word? I did one coat of the Domestic Goddess, one coat of Shambolic and topped it all off with Seche Vite.

For those of you who, like me, avoid glitter polishes because of what a hassle it is to remove them... I have a YouTube video by Mod Nails that will change your life... Seriously!! It has changed mine. Check it out!!!

Thanks so much for visiting. I am in the process of getting this blog in tip-top shape.  Any suggestions.. please share!! Thanks!!

This is my first post on my Beauty Blog. This "blogging" thing is very new to me, so bear with me while I figure it all out.  As a major nail polish addict and a lover of beauty products, I figured this was the best way to review the products I use and post nail art tutorials. So, here is the first review of the blog...

Textured polishes are all the rage right now and I was dying to get my hands on some.  So, when I was at Sally Beauty Supply last month and saw the display for China Glaze's Texture polishes I was giddy! I picked up Of Coarse! (blue) and Bump & Grind (pink). I wasn't sure what I would think of the texture.  I have always favored shiny, smooth manicures, so I wasn't sure if I would like these. To say that I love this polish is an understatement! I am kicking myself that I didn't buy the entire collection.  (I guess I will be making a trip to Sally's this weekend)

The texture is perfect.  Not rough and gritty, as I was afraid it would be.  It was smooth yet textured; if that makes any sense.  They had great wear too.  I wore them for 4 days with no chips and hardly any tip wear.  I hated to take this polish off and I will be wearing it again soon. The formula and coverage is perfect.  This is shown in two coats in the photo above.

If you like the textured polishes or are still on the fence about trying them I recommend China Glaze's Texture polishes.
